SHARED BOAT PROGRAM
We understand that owning a boat can be a big decision in life, especially when you cannot afford the upfront costs or are not quite sure which one-design fleet is right for you and your family.
That is why we are extremely proud of this program, offering an accessibleway into the sport for anyone.
HOW IT WORKS
THE BOATS
We offer usage of boats that we own. As a club, we own 7 Albacores, 4 Flying Scots, and 4 Lasers (with all rigs available). You can buy into as many fleets as you want for varying fees. Participation in this program does require that you are a member of WRSC for insurance reasons, but the program fees are very affordable just like becoming a member!
COSTS
Laser: $150 per year | Albacore $190 | Flying Scot: $225
We currently have availability in all boat types.
REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS
All participants are required to undergo an orientation to their boat type, participating in an Adult Learn to Sail session meets this requirement. It is also expected that all boat users pitch in through volunteer work sessions to maintain the boats in the program.
